Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a unique injectable treatment designed to gradually restore facial volume and improve the appearance of aging skin by stimulating your body’s own natural collagen production.

Unlike traditional dermal fillers that provide immediate volume by placing hyaluronic acid beneath the skin, Sculptra works differently. Its active ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), helps stimulate collagen production within the skin’s underlying structure. Results develop gradually, creating subtle, natural-looking improvement over time.

At Grace Full Aesthetics, Sculptra treatments are customized to your facial anatomy, degree of volume loss, and aesthetic goals. Our focus is never to change the way you look—but to help restore structure, support, and a refreshed appearance that still looks like you.

What Can Sculptra Treat?

As we age, collagen production decreases, contributing to facial volume loss, skin laxity, wrinkles, and changes in facial contours. Sculptra can be used to address several of these concerns.

Common treatment areas and goals include:

  • Restore support and improve the appearance of age-related volume loss.
  • Gradually restore volume in areas of facial hollowing
  • Create a more gradual and natural-looking results.
  • Gradually restore a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
  • Increased collagen can improve the appearance of firmness, texture, and overall skin quality over time.

Your provider will determine whether Sculptra is appropriate for your areas of concern during your consultation.

How Is Sculptra Different From Dermal Filler?

Both Sculptra and traditional dermal fillers can improve age-related volume loss, but they work very differently.

Traditional dermal fillers add volume immediately and are ideal when precise contouring, enhancement, or immediate correction is desired.

Sculptra is a collagen biostimulator. Rather than simply filling an area, it encourages your body to gradually produce more of its own collagen. Improvements develop over the weeks and months following treatment.

For some patients, the best aesthetic plan may include both Sculptra and traditional dermal filler, with each treatment serving a different purpose.

Your Sculptra Consultation

A $50 consultation is required before Sculptra treatment at Grace Full Aesthetics.

During your consultation, your provider will evaluate your facial anatomy, skin quality, degree of volume loss, medical history, and aesthetic goals to determine whether Sculptra is appropriate for you.

Because Sculptra is designed as a gradual collagen-building treatment, your provider will also discuss the recommended number of sessions and vials needed to achieve your desired outcome.

Your consultation fee will be applied toward the cost of your Sculptra treatment if you proceed with the service.

What to Expect

Before Your Treatment

Your provider will develop an individualized treatment plan based on your facial structure and goals. Photographs may be taken before treatment to help document your progress.

Please tell your provider about medications and supplements you take, previous injectable treatments, allergies, medical conditions, and any active skin irritation or infection.

If you take medications or supplements that can increase bruising, discuss them with your provider before treatment.

During Your Treatment

Sculptra is carefully injected into predetermined areas of the face using a needle or cannula. Your provider will strategically place the product based on your anatomy and treatment plan.

The appointment typically takes approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.

After Your Treatment

Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising at the injection sites may occur. Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions, including instructions regarding massage of the treated areas.

Most patients can return to their usual daily activities following treatment.

How Many Sculptra Treatments Will I Need?

Sculptra is not typically a one-and-done treatment.

At Grace Full Aesthetics, a minimum of two vials is required per treatment session; the vials are $800 each. Most patients benefit from a series of approximately 2–3 treatment sessions, although the number of sessions and vials needed varies based on age, facial structure, degree of volume loss, and individual treatment goals.

Your provider will create a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.

Patients who choose to complete only one treatment session should understand that they may not achieve optimal results. Sculptra works by gradually building collagen, and completing the recommended treatment series is important for achieving the intended outcome.

When Will I See Results?

Sculptra is designed for patients who appreciate gradual, natural-looking improvement.

You may notice some immediate fullness after treatment, but much of this is related to the water used when preparing the product and will diminish shortly afterward.

Over the following weeks and months, Sculptra stimulates collagen production and improvements gradually become more noticeable. Because the process occurs over time, results tend to look subtle and natural rather than appearing as though you suddenly “had something done.”

How Long Does Sculptra Last?

Sculptra results can last up to two years or longer in some patients after completing an appropriate treatment series. Individual results and longevity vary.

Your provider may recommend future maintenance treatments based on your aging process, goals, and response to treatment.
